Western Washington NWF Habitat Stewards Training
IT'S A NEW YEAR, SIGN UP TO BECOME A HABITAT STEWARD!

The National Wildlife Federation, in partnership with the Russell Family Foundation, is offering a specialized multi-course training to teach you how to help others create and restore wildlife habitat in backyards, schoolyards, and other private and public areas.  You get to meet and interact with local conservation professionals and other similarly interested folks while participating in this engaging, fun and highly informative online program!

Benefits include: a comprehensive, digital training manual with local resources, instruction from local professionals, engaging field opportunities, certification as a habitat steward, and continued support from NWF staff.

A variety of topics will be presented on habitat restoration, PNW ecology, natural yard care, invasive plants, native plants, & much more! Presenters will be announced soon!

Classes will be held via Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays in January from 6-8:45pm. The dates are: (1/18), (1/20), (1/25), and (1/27). Field experience opportunities will be held on two Saturdays in the Western Washington area. Once registered the Zoom link will be emailed to you.

*Scholarships are available! No one will be turned down to lack of funds. Email WAEducation@nwf.org for more information.

**We will be sending you regular workshop communications via email. Please give us a valid email address at checkout so that we can email you an invitation to the online workshop, and other important program updates.

***As part of the training, volunteers commit to completing 30 hours of habitat-related volunteer service within 1 year following graduation from the program.

If you would prefer to pay using a check, please email WAEducation@nwf.org to register! Sign up soon as spaces are limited!
